Birth Doula

I offer continuous one to one support for you and your partner from the onset of and during labour and for the birth of your baby, whether it be a hospital or home birth.

I usually have 2 antenatal sessions with you in your home to talk through your expectations of labour and the birth and to give you advice as to the options and choices available to you and I can help you write your birth plan. I can give useful tips on breast feeding, how to bath your baby and a general idea of what to expect in the first few days following the birth of your baby.

I also visit you once or twice once you have had your baby to give any support you might need in establishing breast feeding and generally chat through your birth experience.

I will be on call 24 hours a day for 2 weeks before your EDD and 2 weeks after.

As a trainee, my fee for this service is £200, including expenses.

Post Natal Doula

Those first few weeks following the birth of your baby can feel overwhelming and no one can really prepare you for what life is like with a new baby. Having a doula can really help get you through and give you the confidence and reassurance you need to make the transition to parenthood as easy as possible.

I will spend time with you and help you get to know and understand your baby's needs, undertake light household tasks and give you the time to rest and adjust to life as a mum!

As a trainee, my fee is £10 per hour plus mileage @ 40p per mile, with a minimum of 3 hours per visit.

Above all I want to support you in your choice of how you want to have your baby.
